» Pre Listening of "Stern" live in Darmstadt, 21. February 2008
The host of this evening is actor and writer Thomas Sabottka who enhances the concept of the show with his own stories, inspired by L'ÂME IMMORTELLE's album „Namenlos" as a narrator and clown.
The whole concert is captured in black and white to get close to the atmosphere of the cementary of the nameless. With quick cuts this high contrast flick creates the illusion of being in the middle of the audience to re-live the energy of the songs and the emotional interaction between all bandmembers.
The DVD also contains outtakes that were found during the editing process and a "behind the scenes" feature to show the tension before the show... how does the band prepare for the concert? Will Thomas' haircut survive (?) the first few songs?
Furthermore you can find 3 additional songs filmed at a concert in Vienna and an extensive documentation of the band's trip to Moscow. Follow the band through the city, experience Moscow's nightlife and learn that L'ÂME IMMORTELLE party hard !
Next week you can find another song from the DVD on our

Jenseits der Schatten - The tour is not the end
After L'ame Immortelle proved with the brilliant concept album "Namenlos" and the February 2008 tour of the same name that they aren't yet dead (in fact quite the opposite), that they still pack plenty of energy and creativity and that old as well as new fans could be equally enthusiastic about them, there is now the live DVD/CD, "Jenseits der Schatten".
Recorded on the "Namenlos" tour, the DVD resurrects once more the unique concept of music and theatrical elements. For 135 minutes in total, you can see how Sonja Kraushofer and Thomas Rainer, with their perfectly-attuned live band and the author/actor Thomas Sabottka translate the wildly acclaimed concept of the album to a live setting.
No hit is missing from the band's long history: from "Bitterkeit" to "Life Will Never be the Same Again" to "5 Jahre", the entire range of the band is presented, whereby some songs are offered with surprising new arrangements. Here the electronica of the early days and the rather rockier gothic elements of the last album meet hammering industrial attacks and heart-rending synth harmonies. German poetry and raging English lyrics both complement and contrast with each other, as do the well-known voices of both artists. But that isn't all.
The DVD offers extensive bonus material which shows out-takes from the tour, such as how the band feel backstage and in addition, a documentary about their trip to Moscow and exclusive tracks from the opening of the tour in Vienna. Not only the home town of Sonja and Thomas, but above all the home of the Friedhof der Namenlosen (the "Cemetery of the Nameless", which provided the inspiration for the concept of "Namenlos").
Goosebumps are guaranteed when you experience this unique concert experience at home. In addition to the extensive DVD, there is also a perfect live recording of the concert on CD. "Jenseits der Schatten" is released as a 6-panelled digipak in DVD size with a lavish booklet full of live photos and in a slipcase finished with silver foil-blocking. A collectors' item which no L'ame Immortelle fan should be without.

Durch fremde Hand

Today L’ÂME IMMORTELLE provides you with some more information about the second CD of „Durch fremde Hand“:
While „Namenlos“ only hinted vaguely at the background of the dead at the cemetery of the nameless and thus allowed room for all kinds of interpretations and fantasies, „Durch fremde Hand“ is a lot more specific. All songs are focused on a possible fate and do not deal with the different stories of the dead anymore. „Blick zurück“ tells the story of a disdained lover who killed a young girl out of jealousy and put her to „Das kühle Grab“ (“The Cool Grave”). „Durch fremde Hand“, which Sonja and Thomas have uploaded on their MySpace page today, is written from the point of view of the victim’s boyfriend who sadly remembers their loving relationship. „Suffocating Endlessly“ on the other hand expresses the girl’s feelings and fears at the moment of the kidnapping.

So the second CD of the album „Durch fremde Hand“ can be regarded as a complex conceptual album which is a part of „Namenlos“ as it is not only the continuation of an idea but would also fit in on the CD itself- amidst all the other songs. Although being different and independent both albums belong together and this fact is clearly reflected in the music, the lyrics and last but not least in the artwork.
Furthermore L’ÂME IMMORTELLE have come up with a very special present for you:They will give 5x2 tickets away for the upcoming tour and the best thing is: you can choose the date yourself! In order to get one of the tickets you have to send an email to verlosung@orkus.de and hope for good luck. Deadline: 2008.09.01

Beyond the Shadows

After many years of band history and a very successful tour in February Sonja and Thomas are still keen on touring! In October they will be back on the road with their „Jenseits der Schatten“ - tour which will also bring L`ÂME IMMORTELLE to cities they haven’t visited for a long time- as for example Munich, where the tour starts.
As you can guess from the title „Jenseits der Schatten“(„Beyond the shadows”) this tour is a continuation of the „Namenlos“- tour and will start where the „Namenlos“ concerts stopped. Touring with their “old” live band, the delight in playing and having fun together while entertaining their fans shall be the biggest goal. LÂME IMMORTELLE’s concept is based on the power of the songs and the emotions of the lyrics and the audience can expect a dynamic set containing both old and new songs- and of course, as usually some surprises.

Since a lot of time will pass until October you can find the Necessary Response remix of „Blutrot“ on the MySpace profile . Have fun and enjoy the song!

Durch fremde Hand - Artwork
As similar and cohesive as they may seem, the two releases Namenlos and Durch fremde Hand are yet different. Therefore L’ÂME IMMORTELLE have decided to allow these differences more room in the artwork.
The scene’s cult photographer Nightshadow (Achim Webel) took photos of Sonja and Thomas at the Cemetery of the Nameless and the surrounding meadows of the Danube – inspired by the atmosphere of this mystic place. Thus extremely fascinating black and white photographs have emerged which demonstrate the reality to the beholder in an unemotional way. What shall remain of us? A grave! In this case a nameless grave.
If you skim through the booklet of the Namenlos album you get totally absorbed in the stories of the protagonists – and in Oliver Schlemmer‘s imaginative underwater world…. These pictures are mystic, cruel and beautiful at the same time and represent the moment of dying... However, they allow the beholder enough room to escape into a world of their own. Durch fremde Hand on the other hand is a clear and significant manifesto of what really remains in the end.

The design of this release also has a lot going for. It is printed on handpicked art print paper reduced to the essence of the pictures which are self-explanatory.
Until you take a look at this total piece of art yourself, you can visit Sonja’s and Thomas‘ MySpace profile with some exclusive photos and Grendel‘s Remix of „Es tut mir leid“
New website & Durch fremde Hand
After months of work we are proud to announce the new L'ÂME IMMORTELLE website being online. It has not been a mere re-design as we tried to carefully recreate all sections and fill them up with tons of information. There is a lot to be disovered, so enjoy your stay on these pages

After Namenlos we return once again to the cementary of the Nameless with the release of Durch fremde Hand, the twin album of Namenlos on July 25th
on CD 1 of Durch fremde Hand (= by stranger's hands) means that friends and our favourite artists (a.o. ASP, ÜEBERMUTTER, NECESSARY RESPONSE, DOPESTARS INC., GRENDEL, MONOZELLE... ), remix and reinterpret all songs of Namenlos in the exact order of the album, giving a totally new perspective to the songs. All participants had total artistic freedom in selection and interpretation and so were able to create a varied remix album.
CD 2 of Durch fremde Hand features 6 songs produced exclusively for this release in Vienna with the same team who worked on Namenlos. More on this later, but one thing is for certain: the songs will especially please the fans of the early days of L'ÂME IMMORTELLE as they are more in a electronic vein.
