Since Friday (June 22nd) the “10 Jahre” best of album of L’ÂME IMMORTELLE is available in the shops. It includes hits of the last 10 years like “5 Jahre”, “Nur Du”, “Bitterkeit”, “Judgement”, and “Life Will Never Be The Same Again”. That might be enough reason to get this precious piece to ones collection. Besides that, the best of album is enhanced by two new tracks. Here follows the tracklist:

Since Wednesday, there’s already been a little taster of one of the new tracks from the 10th anniversary ‘Best Of’ album. You’ve probably already checked out “Come Closer” at www.myspace.com/lameimmortelle. Starting today you can also have a listen to the other new track, “No Tomorrow” exclusively on the L’ÂI Myspace-page. So what your appetite now for the June 22nd release of the ‘Best Of’ album from LÂME IMMORTELLE!

Because starting Wednesday, June 13th, for all of you L’âme Immortelle fans who just can’t wait, there will be an exclusive pre-listening session on the LAI Myspace-page featuring one of the two new tracks from the ‘Best Of’ album! We’re talking about “Come Closer”, which together with “No Tomorrow” will crown the release on June 22ndof the 10th anniversary L’âme Immortelle album. On Friday, June 15th, you can also have a listen to the second new song.

10 Years of Love, Desire, Longing and Desperation – The “Best Of” L’ÂME IMMORTELLE!
A decade of L’ÂME IMMORTELLE –sounds imposing. And indeed it is! Starting with their 1997 debut album, “Lieder die wie Wunden bluten”, Sonja and Thomas perfectly reflected the melancholic feeling of the goth scene with their über-cool electronic sound and emotional lyrics. Since then, they have been transporting your hearts and souls on a continuously exciting and unusual musical journey:
“When we wanted to do an electro song, then we did electro, and when we wanted to do a ballad, that’s what we did. I think lots of bands just try too hard to fit into a particular pattern. They think, ‘We’ve got a following now, so there are some things we just can’t do’. They’re afraid of losing their fans or losing face. L’âme Immortelle in contrast was an open concept right from the start. This gives us room so that we can always introduce new elements into the sound”, Thomas explained regarding the open way in which the band works.
During the course of L’ÂME IMMORTELLE’s history, the band has progressed to confronting evermore sophisticated concepts. The LP “Gezeiten” (2004) and most recently “Auf deinen Schwingen” (2006) were also presented with elaborate graphics as complete artworks.
Now it’s time to pass on the diary of this strange and beautiful journey to you: The Best Of package features not only their most popular songs and current hits like “5 Jahre” or “Stumme Schreie”; it also contains two exclusive, new bonus tracks with which L’ÂME IMMORTELLE are not only celebrating their tenth anniversary, but are also presenting their audience with two brand new numbers to commemorate the occasion: “Come Closer” continues with the musical barrier-busting tradition of the band, combining driving, rocky guitars, touching piano harmonies and pulsing electro beats to form a strong club number that sets a thundering exclamation point to the end of one decade and the start of a new one for L’ÂME IMMORTELLE. The closing track, “No Tomorrow”, is embraced by a tender, fragile piano melody wrapped in powerful guitars and celebratory violins. Centered around Sonja’s longing vocals, this number perfectly transports the emotional quality of L’ÂME IMMORTELLE’s continuing musical legacy.
